DeadlineCalculator.net is an independent website. It is not affiliated with any court, government agency, bar association or law firm.
Why it exists
Free deadline calculators tend to do one of two things: add a number of days to a date with a generic holiday list, or cover a single court in a single state. Paid docketing software does more, but it is built for law firms. People who need a deadline checked — a paralegal confirming a docket entry, a lawyer between hearings, someone who has just been served — deserve a free tool that applies the actual rule and shows how it got the answer, so the answer can be checked.
Who it is for
- Paralegals and docketing staff, who need the rule citation, every skipped day, and a calendar entry.
- Attorneys, who need a quick, shareable confirmation on a phone.
- People without a lawyer, who need plain language and a clear statement of what the calculator does and does not cover.
How it is run
There are no ads on any page and no sign-up, and we do not store what you calculate. Rules and holiday lists are checked against official sources and every change is recorded in the changelog. The methodology page explains how the calculators are built and tested.
Corrections
If you find an error, or a court closure we have not recorded, please tell us through the contact page or at contact@deadlinecalculator.net. Every result has a Report a problem link that sends us the exact calculation. Corrections are checked against the official source and recorded in the changelog.
This website is not a law firm, and nothing on it is legal advice or a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
