What helps us check a deadline quickly
When a result looks wrong, send us the result link. Its address holds the rule, the dates and the options you chose, so we can reproduce exactly what you saw. The Report a problem link under every result fills it in for you. Then tell us which date you expected and why: the rule, local order or court notice you are relying on. If a court closed on a day we do not list, a link to the court’s own announcement lets us confirm the closure and add it.
What we cannot help with
We cannot give legal advice, tell you which rule applies to your case, or confirm a deadline for a filing you are about to make. Writing to us does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing you send is treated as confidential, so leave out names, case numbers and private details. If a deadline is close, contact the clerk of your court or an attorney instead of waiting for our reply. Legal aid organizations and your state bar’s lawyer referral service can help you find someone.
What happens after you write
A reported error is checked against the official rule or court announcement before it changes any calculation. Every correction is recorded in the changelog with the data version it affects, so you can see when a result changed and why. Messages sent with the form are emailed to us and are not stored on this website; the privacy page explains what we keep and for how long.
