Privacy

No ads and no sign-up. Google Analytics counts visits; the dates you enter are used to compute your result and are not stored by us.

What the calculators receive

When you calculate a deadline, your browser sends the rule, the date and the options you chose to our server in the page address, and the server returns the result. We do not store these inputs or link them to you. Because the inputs are part of the address, they appear in your browser history and in any link you share — that is what makes a result shareable. Do not type names or case details into the date fields.

Instant results in your browser

On calculator pages, your browser downloads our deadline engine (a WebAssembly file served from this site) the first time you edit the form. From then on, changing a field recalculates the result on your own device; nothing is sent to us until you press Calculate deadline or open a result link.

Recent calculations

Your last eight results are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only, so you can reopen them from the calculator pages. They are never sent to us, and Clear history on any calculator page deletes them. A private or incognito window keeps none.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages and calculators people use. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. A calculator result’s address includes the rule and the dates you entered, so Google can receive those as part of the page address; it never receives a name unless you type one into a field, which we ask you not to do. Google’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.

The calculators work the same if you block analytics with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker. The site shows no ads, sets no other cookies and loads no social media scripts, and the embeddable widget loads no analytics at all.

Server and hosting logs

The site runs on a virtual private server rented from Hostinger. Like any web server, it keeps standard access logs of each request: the time, the address requested, the requesting IP address and the browser’s description of itself. The logs are used only to operate and protect the site and are deleted automatically after about two weeks.

Messages you send us

When you use the contact form, your message and anything else you fill in (topic, page address, name, email address) are emailed to our mailbox, contact@deadlinecalculator.net. They are not stored on this website. Your IP address is held in the server’s memory for one hour to limit how many messages can be sent, and is not written down. We use what you send only to answer you and to fix the site, and we keep a message only as long as we need it for that. Email us if you would like a message you sent deleted.

The Google Calendar and Outlook buttons open those services with the deadline filled in. If you use them, the information goes to Google or Microsoft under their privacy policies. The .ics download is generated by our server and does not involve a third party.
