Terms of use and disclaimer

Please read this before relying on a computed date.

Draft — these terms will be reviewed by counsel before the site launches.

DeadlineCalculator.net provides general information and calculation tools. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The calculators and guides on this site are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone.

You choose the rule

Each calculator performs arithmetic under the rule you select, using the dates you enter. It cannot determine which rule applies to your situation, whether a court order, local rule or statute changes the deadline, or whether a court was closed on a day that was not publicly announced. You are responsible for confirming every deadline against the rules, statutes and orders that govern your matter.

Accuracy

We check rules and holiday lists against official sources and test the calculators extensively, as described on the methodology page. Rules and court calendars change, and errors are possible. Where the law is unsettled, the calculators show the earliest reasonable date and list the alternatives; that is a cautious default, not a statement of what a court will decide.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or any computed date.

Use of content and data

You may link to any page, and you may reuse the downloadable holiday calendars with a link back to the page they came from.
